Biography

Dr. David Gomez is an Acute Care and Trauma surgeon at St. Michael’s Hospital,  a Scientist at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Surgery,  Adjunct Scientist at ICES, and an Associate member of the Institute for Medical Science.

His main research interests include the evaluation of enablers and barriers of access to timely and quality emergency surgery. Dr Gomez is highly experienced in the use of population-based administrative data and devotes 60% of his time to research.
