Biography

Dr. Henry Ahn is an orthopaedic surgeon and Associate Scientist in the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute at St. Michael’s Hospital.  He has a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology from the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto. His clinical practice is focused on the management of polytrauma patients with significant orthopaedic injuries, spinal cord injuries, along with complex adult spinal disorders. Dr. Ahn is a member of the University of Toronto Spine Program and is a Principal Investigator with the Rick Hansen Registry.  He has a research interest in the management of spinal cord injury and the epidemiology of spinal cord injury incorporating large databases, prospective cohort studies, along with randomized control trials.
