Research Activities

Bench models: simulation of patient-ventilator interaction; performance assessment of mechanical ventilators and related devices.

Bench experimental studies: collaboration with several groups on acute lung injury
Physiological studies in critically ill patients (respiratory mechanics, respiratory muscle activity, sleep, etc.)
Epidemiological studies on mechanical ventilation
Randomized clinical trials on mechanical ventilation
